The SN7407N is a high-voltage hex buffer/driver IC from the 7400 series. It features six independent buffers with open-collector outputs, designed to drive high-current loads. The open-collector outputs can be connected to external pull-up resistors, allowing the SN7407N to interface with higher voltage levels than typical TTL logic levels. This makes it ideal for driving LEDs, relays, and other high-current loads in digital and control applications. Key Features:
    • Six independent buffer/drivers
    • Open-collector outputs for higher voltage and current capabilities
    • High output current drive capability
    • TTL-compatible inputs
    • Standard 14-pin DIP package
    • High noise immunity
    Technical Specifications:
    • Supply Voltage (VCC): 4.75V to 5.25V
    • Input Voltage (VIN): 0V to 5.5V
    • Output Voltage (VOUT): Up to 30V
    • Output Current (IO): 40 mA (max per output)
    • Low-Level Output Voltage (VOL): 0.4V (max) at IOL = 40 mA
    • High-Level Input Voltage (VIH): 2V (min)
    • Low-Level Input Voltage (VIL): 0.8V (max)
    • Input Current (II): 1 mA (max)
    • Propagation Delay Time (tpd): 14 ns (typical)
    • Operating Temperature Range: 0°C to +70°C
    • Package: 14-pin DIP
    Applications:
    • LED Drivers: Drives LEDs and displays with higher current requirements.
    • Relay Drivers: Suitable for driving relays in control circuits.
    • High-Voltage Interface: Interfaces TTL logic levels with higher voltage levels.
    • Motor Control: Controls small DC motors in various applications.
    • Digital Logic Circuits: Used in digital circuits requiring buffer and driver functionality.
    • Industrial Automation: Implements control functions in industrial systems.
