Material Compatibility & Limitations
The Falcon A1 supports a wide range of materials including cardboard, wood, bamboo, rubber, leather, fabric, acrylic, and plastic .
Important Limitation: The Falcon A1 cannot cut or engrave transparent acrylic or mirrored acrylic. According to Creality, the machine is strictly prohibited from engraving highly reflective materials, including mirror-finished metals and mirrored acrylic . Transparent acrylic allows the laser beam to pass through rather than being absorbed, preventing effective cutting or engraving. Additionally, reflective surfaces can redirect the laser beam and potentially cause damage to the machine or injury .
For opaque acrylic, the machine can produce good results, though users should consider whether the final piece will have a dark backdrop or a light source behind it and adjust their designs accordingly .
